

George T. Boyle, 80, died Monday, September 3, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida after a brief illness. He was born in Jacksonville where he lived all of his life. Mr. Boyle graduated from Technical High School and was a Police Officer with the JSO for 25 years. He was in the Detective Division when he retired. He was a Court Security Officer with the Federal Court, being the Lead CSO for a time. He also served in the Army National Guard and later in the Army Reserve. He was a member of the Masonic Order, and was a former member of the Morocco Provost Guard. He was a Past Patron of Scottish Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lona; his 2 daughters, Deborah (Robbie) Lee and Patricia (Roy) Huling. Also surviving are one grandson, Ronnie (Katy) Kearns, Jr.; three granddaughters, Kayla Lee, Shelby Huling and Hanna Huling) and two great-granddaughters, (Kayleigh Kearns, and Kaiya Kearns). The family visitation to greet friends will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm, in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32205. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm, September 6, 2012 at Old Plank Road Baptist Church, 8964 Old Plank Road, Jacksonville, FL. 32220, where he was a member, Brother Larry McGinley officiating. Burial will follow to Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old Plank Road Baptist Church Building Fund in his memory.
