On March 11, 2020 at 12:58 a.m., George Jack Vetter, Jr., 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family. George is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elaine (Miller) Vetter; their three children, Karan (Vetter) Jennings and her husband, Ernest; George Vetter and his wife, Heidi; and Kathy (Vetter) Noel and her fiancé, Kenneth Spencer; five grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
George served his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, providing service on the U.S.S. Valley Forge CV 45, U.S.S. Forrestal CVA 59, and the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy CV67.
He will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218 on March 17, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.
