I still miss you every day! I love you Daddy!

Robin and family so sorry for your loss it hard to see your father go  R i p  Harry ,Juanita Sutton...

All my thoughts and prayers go out to all the family during this hard time.

I would like to send my deepest heart felt sympathy to the family and friends of Harry T. Pounds.

Harry was the closest thing to a father to me growing up and throughout my life. 

While he was not my biological father, he was to others akin to my sera-got dad, but to me he was the only dad I have ever  known. He was by far much more than that, he was my friend, my mentor, my confidant, and the greatest man and thinker that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. 

Harry always told me "there's nothing that you can't do if you put your mind to it." Harry is the reason why I am an aerospace engineer today. He told me to "reach for the stars and even if you don't get to the stars, at the Moon or even the top of Mount Everest, that is a great place to have reached and achieved along that journey. The only thing that can limit you is yourself."

While I find myself with great sorrow in morning the passing of such a great man. I can hear Harry's words now "boy you're looking at it the wrong way! You should not be mopping over my passing. You should be celebrating my life and accomplishment and the good times we had together. Live life to the fullest like there is no tomorrow."

Harry and I had many great philosophical discussions over the years. He was by far more learned with life time experiences than most men. Even though he never held a college degree, he far outweighed the many who do. Harry held a PhD of lifetime experiences, caring and helping those that would try and wanted to help themselves. He was always a willing to assist them along the way.

Even at the age of 60 Harry could out work any three 20-year-olds all day long five days a week and even Saturday and Sunday. He could fix anything that ever broke. He could also find a way to make it even better than it was originally designed to be. He was probably one of the greatest real-word inventor and problem solver as necessary by whatever the situation was at hand. He was even a great teacher, who could show you why things were the way they are and rather than just tell you. 

I could spend weeks just going through his great accomplishments in his lifetime, which were as great as any man has ever had. 

By far the greatest achievement is his family and how much he loved and cared for them. I know this first hand. As I had the greatest privilege to have been an extended part of Harry's family. 

To Harry's entire family, we all loved and cherished him and it is with great sorrow that he is gone. And our lives, much like any that knew him, will seem lessened without him around. We will miss his sound advice, quick wit, his smile and his love that he had for us all. Only Harry could pull so hard on the tear sting of my heart in his passing.

Here is to celebrating the life of the greatest man that I have had the pleasure of knowing and loving as a father. I can only hope and aspire to be even half as great of a man and father to my family and friends as he was to his family and friends.

Harry may you rest in peace knowing that your family and friends loved you deeply. And all your family and friends deeply cherish all the moments, we had with you. 

As you meet our eternal maker, Thank God! for granting us all that pleasure of having you in our lives and for the time we were granted to spend with you.

Mr.Pounds was so kind and funny He shared so many stories of life and its lessons he had  learned along his way ,he was truly one in a million. So glad i had the pleasure of knowing him .He loved his wife and family dearly, God has a special Angel with him now and he will be missed sending the family prayers. God bless 

In the early 70's we lived across the street from "The Pounds" household. Some of my fondest childhood memories were being invited to go swimming with Robin. I remember Mr. pounds being a quiet man that kept his yard immaculate and always had a smile on his face. Rest in Peace Mr. Pounds.
