Helen Dolores Kirkland Touchton, age 91, passed away in Jacksonville, FL on August 11, 2024. She was born in Norfolk,, VA on November 16, 1932 to Tullis Cecil Kirkland and Bessie Lucille Evans Kirkland.
She married William Edward Touchton “Bill” on September 11, 1950. Helen was the co-owner of Touchton Airbrake Company. She was a strong woman, generous and deeply committed to her family and church. Helen belonged the Living Faith Church. She loved chocolate, singing and traveling. Most of all she loved Jesus, her beloved Bill and all those she called her own.
Helen is survived by daughter, Nathalea Touchton Ellenburg (John), son, Frank Alan Touchton (Joyce), daughter, Susan Touchton Milford (Larry) and daughter, Karen Touchton Higginbotham; also 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Touchton “Bill”; sons, William Edward Touchton, Jr. and John Mark Touchton; and grandson, Brian Alan Touchton.
A visitation for Helen will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Living Faith Church Jacksonville, 6731 Ramona Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM.
