In Greek, Helene means shining light or the bright one. She was a shining light to everyone she met. Helene never met a stranger. She had a smile that would captivate a room. Her beauty could parallel that of Helen of Troy from Greek Mythology, whose beauty started the Trojan war. Helene probably started some of her own wars!
Helene was a force to be reckoned with; a juggernaut in her own right. Her love for people was evident in the strong friendships she forged. More loyal than any of man’s best friends, she would be the first person to call, comfort or encourage those who needed her. She would give the shirt off her back, even if she wasn’t wearing one.
Helene leaves behind her mother Lyllian Margaret Crenshaw of Toulouse, France, her children Louis George of Seattle, WA, Alexis Bevins, Destiny Champion, Malcolm Wynkoop and Haleigh Wynkoop all of Jacksonville, FL and many close friends and relatives.
Her life celebration will be held at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32205.
