Herbert Turner was 78 yrs old. He was born in Florence SC. He was survived by his wife Ruth Turner, 8 children, Theresa Colvin, Herbert Turner Jr., Cindy Turner, Jimmy Turner, Debra Turner (Chuck) Denise Proctor (Gary), Roy Turner (Susan), Lanna Kerr (Ricky). 23 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. He was also survived by his sister, Debra Rogers (Doug). He was an Electrician by trade and enjoyed working with heavy equipment and being out doors. He always wore his hat and we would say “There is magic in that hat”. He always helped others by teaching them to better themselves. He was loved by many and will be truly missed!
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6:00-8:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00am with committal service following the funeral service.
