Irvin spent his early years dedicated to his education, leading him to graduate with honors from Syracuse. He was accepted into Johns Hopkins, but his passions shifted his career to a journey of culinary and hospitality management. This drew him to Key West, Florida, where Irvin opened restaurants and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the Florida Keys. As his culinary skills grew, he began bestowing his knowledge to other chefs. This is where he found his passion on leading others in the restaurant business. Irvin spent most of his adulthood and later years teaching his peers and the younger generation of chefs. Irvin took delight in helping local restaurants improve their recipes and management, creating a warm environment for anyone who dined.
In his personal life, Irvin still loved to cook, and he liked to watch sports. Irvin took joy in cooking meals for the people he loved. Irvin was a sports fan since childhood, and he set aside time on Sunday afternoons to relax and watch his favorite sports games. He enjoyed making people laugh and have a good time with friends. He made many memories as a child taking vacations with his family and playing in the front yard with his sister, Cindy, and their neighbors.
Irvin is survived by his sister, Cindy Peacock (Jimmy); nephews, Billy Peacock (Tarah), Daniel Peacock (Ellie), and niece, Julianna Peacock; with the addition of many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Irvin is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Leverock; and mother, Ethel Leverock.
