Mr. Householder was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Deborah Mae Householder; son, Matthew “Stevie” Householder; parents, Jack and Willadene Householder; and his father-in-law, Richard Lane.
Steve began working on and around planes with his Dad at a very early age. He became a licensed pilot at the young age of 16. After his fathers’ passing Steve took over, the family business, JaxAero Maintenance. He held a prestigious IA designation on his Airframe and Power plant FAA mechanics license, which allowed him the ability to inspect aircraft. He was well respected by all who knew him since his word was his bond. If he told you he was going to do something, it could be considered as good as done. Steve loved to work. He worked right up to the week of his passing, going from airport to airport doing inspections. He was a man that wanted to make sure everyone got a fair chance at life, and a few other chances if needed. He would gladly give someone the shirt off his back and wouldn’t accept anything in return. Steve loved singing, southern gospel music, his family and his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 26, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Old Plank Road Baptist Church, 8964 Old Plank Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32220.
