Jeffery Scott Sample

On May 30th Jeffery Scott Sample, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend went home to our Lord at 62 years young. Jeff was born in Detroit, Michigan and his passion for travel led him to Florida where he met his loving wife of 37 years, Julie. They married in 1986 and raised two sons, Jeffery and Joseph. Jeff’s passion for cooking was known by all; he was a wonderful storyteller, loved music, fishing, building models and collecting many different kinds of memorabilia. Jeff’s many family and friends will miss his warm smile, the comfort of his hugs, fantastic sense of humor and his unfailing kindness.

Jeff was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Scott Sample Jr.; father, Tim Sample; and brother, Greg Sample.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Joseph; mother, Ruth; brother, Adam; nephew, Jonathan (Trudy); niece, Ashley (Joe); sisters in law, Nancy (Katie) and Janet (Bruce); nieces and nephews, Jordyn (Noah & Gabriel); Matthew (Jennifer) Alyssa & Julian, Zachary (Tabitha) Rhylee & Frederick, Kayla (Paislee & Chloe); brother in law, Jason (Madison & Lauren); and countless other family members.

Jeff was full of love and compassion for others and his legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2pm at Glenwood Baptist Church.
