

Jeff was born in Man, West Virginia on May 20, 1960, to the late Donzal Lee Morgan (1932-2017) and Joyce Addison-Morgan (1933-2022) both formerly of Vineland, New Jersey. Raised in the coalfields of Southern West Virginia, Jeff was a football letterman and graduated from Herndon High School as part of the class of 1978, in Herndon, West Virginia.
Jeff served in the United States Navy from November 1982 through October 1988. While serving aboard, the USS SURIBACHI AE-21, as a Petty Officer Third Class, he received The Navy Expeditionary Medal, The Battle Efficiency Ribbon, The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and The Sea Service Deployment Ribbon before his Honorable discharge in 1988.
Jeff worked for Cash Building Materials as a CDL truck driver, and he worked in their brick yard for more than 25 years until a sudden sickness left him unable to continue to work.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Donzal and Joyce Morgan. He is survived by his wife, Deborough Parrott Morgan, who he shared his life and his love with for thirty-four years in Jacksonville, who says, ”it was a blessing and privilege to have shared nearly 35 years with Jeff, He was a loving and devoted husband and Papa, he was our rock.” His Great Grandson and joy of his heart Shyloh Koblar who would make him laugh by saying, “Just google it Papa,” which Jeff loved to talk about. His grandsons Johnathan Murnahan, Joshua Hamilton and wife Hannah, and Granddaughter Holly White all of Jacksonville, Florida.
Jeff was also survived by his son Jeffrey Elijah Morgan and wife Michelle and their two sons Jack and Gabriel, of Jacksonville, Florida. His daughter Jahnie Beth and husband Robert Khoury and their four sons, Blake Miller, Aiden, Jacob and Daniel Khoury all of Phoenix, Arizona. Jeff is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him.
Jeff is survived by four siblings: Wenda Viruet of Vineland, NJ (wife of the late Louis Viruet), and Nickandrea Cooke with her husband Ed Ferguson of Huntington, WV. Patty Quesenberry and husband Jerry of Beckley, WV., Rev. Barry Morgan and wife Neida of Vineland NJ.
Jeff was a lifelong fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers, North Carolina Tarheels and the Kansas City Chiefs. He never gave up hope that his Chiefs would win another super bowl after their 1970 season. After waiting fifty years, he saw them win three more Super Bowls paying off for his loyalty and giving him a reason for smiling. Jeff was always a loyal sports fan, always faithful to those he loved sports teams, family and Jesus Christ. Jeff is with the Lord where he has peace!
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM with. Burial will follow with military honors at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville promptly at 12:30 PM.
