Joan Carol Trace

Joan C Trace was born October 27th, 1948, in Alma Georgia to Thelma (Bigmama) Bazemore and Daniel Bazemore. She had 2 brothers Danny Bazemore and Jerry Bazemore (Deceased).

Joan raised and leaves behind 4 strong daughters, Cynthia Sloan (Robert), Tory Bazemore, Joanie Trace, and Kelsey Riley. She had 6 grandchildren Tiffany, Britany (deceased), Kristin, Brandon, Dylan, Jordan, and Jayda. She also has 11 great grandchildren. Her 3 best friends of over 30 years Debbie, Pam and Suze.

She was the best Mama/Nana in the world, even to others that were not related to her. She didn’t know a stranger. She was a retired property manager for over 30 years. Joan loved to travel and go to the mountains on vacation. She had the biggest heart and would give you the shirt off her back. No one was ever hungry around her including the neighborhood animals. As sweet and loving as she was, she had a fiery side and would not hesitate to give you a blunt honest answer. She has left her mark on this world for sure. Nana will truly be missed by everyone that crossed her path.

A graveside service for Joan will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. No repast meal will follow.
