Joann Heath

Reba Joann Heath (Joann), 82, passed away September 1st, in her home in Jacksonville. Joann was born June 10, 1942 in Augusta, GA to Harold and Carrie Gay (deceased) and raised by her aunt Reba Virginia Ellison (deceased). She is preceded in death by her husband Lathan Hargette Heath, daughter Gigi Coleen Johnston, brother George Pete Gay and grandson Dustin Heath. She is survived by her sons Gary Christopher Pedersen of Jacksonville, FL, stepson Michael Heath (Robin) of Beaufort, SC, stepson William Heath of Greenville, NC and stepdaughter Kathy Scott of Pink Hill, NC, and dear cousin Fay (Huey) Regan of Augusta, GA. Joann is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 20 great step-grandchildren.

We would like to thank Leon, Francis, Lori and Lisa Sammons for their unwavering love and friendship to our family; Patricia Kertsy for her tireless efforts and dedication in caring for our Mom over the last five years; Lois Doehring for all the help, support and friendship she and her family have given us.

A visitation for Reba will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
