Joel David Cox Sr., age 65, passed away Monday, May 2 7, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. Joel was born August 18, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida to Howard and Reba Mary Ellen (McKinny) Cox. Joel was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 1689 and American Legion Post 459. He was preceded by his parents. Survivors include five sons Douglas Cox, Joel David Cox Jr., Derrick Cox (Julia), Nathan Cox ( Jenny), and Brock Bludsworth (fiancé Kim Ray); two daughters Sarah Cox and Erica Cox; two brothers Roy Underwood and Howard Cox; two sisters Christina Walker (Bruce Wertz) and Wanda Stalvey (Billy) numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
