John Luther Carney, Jr., 95, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012. Born on January 27, 1917 in Castalian Springs, Tennessee. He was a long time resident of Jacksonville, and Baptist by faith. John was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Jewel Carney, and daughter, Mary Ann Stolte. He is survived by his brother, Tom Carney (Buluah); 3 grandchildren, Jeff Stolte, Brett Stotle (Cindy), and Renee Langerstrom (Hakan); 6 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. The family visitation to greet friends will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 10:00am until 11:00am, at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL., 32205. Funeral Service will follow visitation at 11:00am, in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. with The United States Navy Military Honors.
