Major John H. Havel, Sr., USMC, Ret. served 21 years in the Marine Corp. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He died at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born on September 8, 1932 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Pius John and Helen Laura (Fumal) Have. He married Carolyn B. (Browning) Havel on March 1956 and they were married 53 years before her passing in 2009.
Also preceding him in death are his parents, 5 sister, 1 brother and his son David J. Havel.
He leaves behind his son, John (Janice), daughter Mary Aston, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and 7 brothers.
