Juanita graduated from Robert E. Lee High School but her education didn't stop there - she would continue her studies well into her old age in addition to working for many years at Independent Life and Casualty in sales. Eventually, she dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a wonderful life for them.
In her personal life, Juanita was an accomplished artist and an member of the Eastern Star, BPOE, and numerous other civic organizations but the membership that she was most proud of was to the Church of Christ with an emphasis on her faith. Her passion for art and community involvement was evident throughout her life.
She was married to Andrew Jack McCullough Jr., and together they raised a loving family. Juanita is survived by her sons; Andrew Jack "Buddy" McCullough III (Beverly) and Ray L. McCullough Sr. (Donna) and her daughter, Vicki D McCullough Serpico. She also leaves behind a legacy of fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. Her brother, Frederick L. Ray (Shiela), also survives her.
Juanita was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Jack McCullough Jr., her daughter, Carla Scott Giffen, and her parents, Lawrence N. Ray and Bessie Emilie Ray.
A visitation will be held on October 20, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will commence at 12:00 pm, with the committal ceremony to follow.
Juanita Ray McCullough will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her service to her community.
