Katie B. Carter went home to her Lord and Savior on August 23, 2013. Katie was born in Cochran, Ga. to Mack McCoy and Merenthia Lloyd on Sept. 13, 1927. She is predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Roy Carter; and is survived by her sons Robert (Nancy) Bethune and Danny (Marie) Bethune; daughter Diane Poag; 6 Grandchildren; 13 Great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Katie was a devoted member of West Jacksonville Baptist. Pastor Kelly of West Jacksonville Baptist will be officiating at the services, which have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205, (904) 781-9262. The family will receive the public for visitation and fellowship on Tuesday August 27th, from 10-11 am; funeral service will at 11 am with with interment following at Riverside Memorial Park.
