
On July 8, 2022, she went home to be with the Lord. Katrina, affectionately known as “Trina,” was loved and nurtured by her parents, but undoubtedly the apple of her father’s eyes.
Trina was raised in Annapolis, Maryland, on the Naval Base. Upon her father’s retirement from the Navy, the family settled in the Community of Annapolis, Maryland. Trina attended private and public school in Annapolis, Maryland. After completing high school, Trina followed in her father’s footsteps and enlisted in the United States Navy, where she served honorable for four years. Her father was extremely proud of her accomplishments and often said, “Trina, I told you that you should have made a career out of the Navy.”
Following the Navy, Trina took courses at Florida Community College of Jacksonville. In 1980, Trina decided to follow her parents to Jacksonville, Florida and made it her home. Trina enjoyed working and held several positions in retail, customer service and workforce management. At the time of her passing, she worked with City Facilities Management, as a Customer Service Representative. During her career Trina received several awards and honors for her professionalism and stellar performance.
In 2019 Trina received her greatest reward when she acknowledged and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 2019. She understood the urgency of making heaven her permanent home.
Trina was preceded in death by her parents, William Jordan Jr. and Selena Jordan. Trina leaves to cherish her memory one uncle, Joseph Earl Alston, one aunt, Shirley Jordan, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
A graveside service for Katrina will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
