Kenneth Matthew Reed

Mr. Reed was born February 20, 1989, to Kenneth Nicholas (Nick) Reed and Lila Scheel Mahns. He is survived by a daughter, Sunny Marian Reed, Jacksonville, Fla.; mother, Lila Scheel Mahns (Charlie), Jacksonville, Fla.; father, Nick Reed (Madelyn), St. Augustine, Fla.; three sisters, Jennifer Reed, Jacksonville, Fla., Melissa Spring, Fredericksburg, Va., Kimberly Ford, Kansas City, Ks. ; two brothers, Ben Reed, Savannah, Ga., and Tony Mahns, Ocala, Fla.

Matt loved the outdoors and was happiest when he was in the woods hunting or fishing. He will be remembered for his big heart, his infectious smile and his ability to never meet a stranger.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 12, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 118 E. Monroe Street, Jacksonville, FL with Dr. Scott Luckey and Ken Soud officiating. Following the service, family and friends will gather to celebrate Matt’s life at the home of Lila and Charlie Mahns.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or to the charity of your choice in the name of Kenneth Matthew Reed.
