On September 3, 2018 Kimberly May Smith, age 50, was called home to be with her Lord in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born September 27, 1967 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Reverend Fred and Norma Dudley. She married her husband of 31 years, Tim Smith, on August 15, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida. A woman of strong faith, Kim was a member of Westside Baptist Church, an active participant in the choir and a Sunday School teacher. Our mother was preceded in death by her father, Fred Dudley.
All who knew our mother remember how she always put family first. She was a friend to everyone she met and never knew a stranger. She was kind and generous and was always willing to give of herself to help those around her. She loved to laugh and bring smiles to those around her. She was loved by all those who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
Our mother lives on in the memories of her husband, mother, siblings, children, grandchildren, and friends. She was survived by her husband Tim Smith and her mother Norma Dudley. She also had two children and two grandchildren; Stephanie Tomlinson (husband Joshua; daughter Skylar) and Scott Smith (wife Whitney; daughter Avery). Siblings; Karen Doviak (Tom), Ken Dudley (Suzanne), Kevin Dudley (Wendy), Krista Kohler.
The children and family of Kimberly Smith extend our heartfelt invitation to join in a celebration of our mother’s life on September 7 at 11 am at Westside Baptist Church, 7775 Herlong Rd., Jacksonville, Florida, 32210, under the direction of Pastor Keith Russell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pediatric Congenital Heart Association (of which she supported to show love to family friend, Lottie Gross who was born with CHD- Congenital Heart Defect).
