Larry D. Woods passed away peacefully on May 29, 2013 at St. Vincent’s Community Hospice Center. He was born to the late Ancel and Leona Woods on September 30, 1940 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville. Larry was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended the Citadel. He spent his working years in telecommunications and computer technology for several banks including Atlantic Bank where he met his beloved wife, Joyce who preceded him in death. Larry is survived by his daughter; Judy and her husband, LTG (Retired) Buster Hagenbeck, grandson; Kelly Hagenbeck, granddaughter; Leeann Brogdon; and four great-grandchildren; Corey, Reese, Katelyn and Carlee. He is also survived by his sister; Linda Chaney and nephew Steve Chaney. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jax. FL 32205. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jax. FL 32257.
