Laura Mae Whalen

Laura was born to Jim and Myrtice Tennison December 15,1950. She was one of 11 children.

Linda(Jack) Rogers, Fred Tennison, Ormond Tennison, Carolyn Leeman, Cathy Fabel, Janey(David) Denmark, and Richard (Edie)Tennison.

Laura was raised in Dinsmore, Florida by Fred and Louise Higginbotham and has 1 foster brother Fred A Higginbotham.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband William G.Whalen.

Laura is survived by her 2 children; Cassie (Dwayne) Case and William Jackson. Her three grandchildren; David Jeremy (Mandi) Gause, John Thomas Lumley, Brennan Case(Robbie)

Her seven great grandchildren; Dawn Gause, Daelyn Gause, Kindyl Johnson, Jackson Gause, Nevaeh Wiggins, Hayden Case, Paisley Wiggins.Laura also has many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.

Laura loved going to church at River Christian church and she loved her church family. She also loved spending time with her life long friend Barbara Allen and CJ (Barbara's Grandson). CJ affectionately called Laura BB. Laura and Barbara were always going on adventures. She loved going on cruises and going to the casinos

Laura will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Laura will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 5:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, 4991 Co Rd 46A, Lake Mary, FL 32746.
