Leonard Earl Gadson was born to the late Willie and Elizabeth Gadson, October 19, 1929 in Jacksonville, FL. He also was a commercial painter. Leonard was a member of the Eastside Brotherhood Club.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Gadson Lewis better known as “Toot” and two grandnephews Terrence Lewis, Sr. and Cornelius Miller II.
Memories are cherished by his daughters Oneida Ingram and Pamela Williams, son; Kenneth Dixon, and grandchildren. Sisters; Rosa Williams, Francis Cook, and Wilhelmina Fisher. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and a devoted friend, Alva Williams.
God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be; so he put his arms around him, and whispered “come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away; although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart Stopped beating, hard work hands to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best!
Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Florida.
