

She was born in Raleigh, NC, and later moved to Jacksonville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Frances and Howard Davis; her husband, John Adams; and her sister, Carol.
She leaves behind two sons, Michael Adams (Karen) and David Adams (Elizabeth), five grandchildren: Danielle Geoghagan (Josh), Johnathan Adams (Sierra), Brandon Adams, Zachary Adams, and Lauren Adams Blackey (Jachquin), as well as five great-grandchildren: Janelle, Brielle, Cayden, Zane, and Malikai. She is also survived by two sisters, Dianne and Darlene, and her brother, Howard M. Davis Jr., along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda lived a rich life, marked by her dedication to teaching, her deep love of family, and her unwavering faith. For many years, she served as a beloved educator at Ruth N. Upson School in Jacksonville, Florida, where she touched the lives of countless students with her wisdom, kindness, and compassion.
She had a passion for gardening and loved to see her Christmas Cactus in bloom each year. Linda’s loyalty and affection for her dog, Precious, were well-known. The two were inseparable, and it was rare to see Linda without her companion by her side.
A woman of deep faith, Linda carried this belief with her throughout her life. Her strength of spirit was evident in everything she did. She loved spending time with her family, and her home was always open to those she held dear.
Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Linda’s legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation for Linda will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
