Lorenzo Tamayo Miniano

Lorenzo was born in the Philippines to the late Narciso and Mayorica Miniano. He joined the U.S. Navy and immigrated to the United States, where he served his new country for 22 years. After retiring from the navy, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Miniano, his son Jeffrey Miniano, daughter Melissa Miniano Das & son-in-law Sougato Das and his three grandchildren: Sundar, Surian and Surav Das. Along with his siblings, Gregorio Miniano, Narciso Jr. Miniano, Merlita Miniano-Trinidad and their respective families.

Lorenzo was a hardworking provider and loving husband and father. He loved to paint, cook, read and tend to his garden. He had a sarcastic wit and enjoyed joking with others. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation for Lorenzo will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A Funeral Service will occur Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A Committal Service will occur Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
