Luis was a veteran of the Navy who proudly served his country for over 20 years. After retiring from the Navy he went on to work at Craig Executive Airport and later as an Assistant Parts Manager at the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships.
Luis was a family man who took pleasure in spending time with his two sons and his wife. Luis had many interests which included watching football, especially his Jacksonville Jaguars. He also enjoyed motorcycles, keeping up with current political events, watching DIY shows, and playing the congas which came from his love for Latin music.
Luis will be forever remembered by his wife of 39 years, Wildy and his two sons, Jonathan and Jordan. He will also be fondly remembered by his mother, Elba Rodriguez, his two brothers, "Jumbo" and Jorge, and his two sisters, Soraya and Elbita. Luis was soon to be a proud grandfather whose memory will be kept alive through his granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 Saint Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
