

Lynnae Dara Hottinger, age 36, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2011, with her family and pastor by her side after a courageous ten year battle against ovarian cancer. Lynnae was a happy, beautiful, compassionate, loving, strong, outgoing and creative soul; she was loved instantly by all fortunate enough to meet her. She was born on July 27, 1975, in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in east Arlington’s St. Johns Bluff community. She graduated from Sandalwood High School and University of Florida with an emphasis on sociology and art. She was a gifted artist and was especially talented in pottery, interior and jewelry design and was extremely passionate about traveling and experiencing the world. She lived in Jacksonville, Gainesville, New York and Paris.
Lynnae will be dearly missed by her loving family: father Bill Hottinger, mother Carolyn (Kendall) Starkweather, sister Carissa (Daniel) Hottinger Williams, nephew Cameron Williams and step-sister Claire (Scott) Starkweather Forrest and by numerous other loving family members and beloved friends.
A visitation with the family will be held Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jax, FL 32225. Graveside services will be held Monday, Aug. 29th, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jax, FL 32211 and the celebration of Lynnae’s life will continue Monday at 11 a.m. at Highlands United Presbyterian Church, 10900 McCormick Road, Jax, FL 32225.
