Major August Toole passed away peacefully of natural causes on Monday January 4th, 2021. A native of Jacksonville Florida, Major Graduated from Alfred I DuPont High School. Major was a salesman in his younger years and later in life was self-employed. Major had a passion for the outdoor life, especially fishing. He was also into the arts he was known as the Button King at Jazz Festivals around the area in the 80’s and Major’s Fun Fishies sold at the Riverside Arts Festival. Major had a wicked sense of humor and was fun loving and carefree. People would gravitate towards him. Major was a Gentle Giant and will be truly missed for is quiet manner, smile, laughter, and his warm gentle heart.
Major is preceded in death by his wife Lucy, parents William Presley Thomas Toole, Helen Jacob Toole, and son Clayton Thomas Toole.
He is survived by his brothers, Richard Toole and Ernest Toole. He is also survived by his children, Suzanne Toole Landells, Dana Toole Senske, and Kevin Lee Toole. Also, a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial arrangements will be determined at a later date.
