She passed away peacefully at Orange Park Medical Center at the age of 94 with family by her side on November 23, 2025.
She was a proud military widow.
She is survived by Franz Jungbauer (brother), Chris May (daughter), Kymberly Atwell (granddaughter), Christopher Doying and Robert Townsend (grandsons), Lily Atwell, Ava Atwell, and Jada Townsend (great granddaughters), Bradley Townsend (great grandson), and Tommy McLaughlin (special family friend), And countless more nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and many more close friends.
Her favorite hobbies were playing Rummikub, Cooking, Spending time with great grandchildren, eating at restaurants, and watching her favorite daily tv shows.
A visitation will be held on December 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at The Riverside Event Pavilion, 1373 Memorial Park Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
The funeral service will follow at the same location on December 1, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
A committal service will immediately follow the funeral at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
