Marilyn graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1944 and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University
and a Master’s degree From University of North Florida. She married Donald Nichols in late October of 1945. Marilyn retired in 1985
after a long career of teaching at both Stanton High School and Baldwin High School. She was a member of St. Johns Park Baptist
Church for many years and was later a member of Ortega Baptist Church.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Donald, her daughters Donna Furman of Jacksonville, FL and Lynn Tillman (Jeff) of Valdosta, GA, and her son Webb Nichols (Jean). She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren Andrew Furman (Christina), Sarah Tillman, and Seth Tillman. She was predeceased by both her parents, Jordan and Pearl Webb.
A visitation will be held Monday March 14, 2016 at 11am, with a funeral service to follow at 12pm, at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The family would like to thank the staff of both Community Hospice of North East Florida and Windsor at Ortega Assisted Living Center, for the loving care they provided Marilyn.
