Mark Randolph Lanier Jr.

“Randy” was born in Jacksonville Florida to Mark Lanier Sr. and Pam Vicars on November 13, 1976. He went to high school at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and graduated in 1998. He held positions with Wendy’s Hamburger, another local sandwich shop and Kinco Metals. He was involved in youth programs at New Life Christian Fellowship from 1985-1990. He attended summer youth camp with the Church of God of Prophecy and received a trophy for Leadership of Craft Club. He was encouraged to submit his art portfolio to our local public broadcasting television station after his art work was reviewed by them. He enjoyed guitar, skateboarding, athletics, drawing, painting and being the center of attention. He received the Presidential Physical Fitness Award for his athletic abilities.

Randy was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anne Lanier; maternal grandfather, Bob Vicars, Sr.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Autumn Faith Lanier; mother, Pam Vicars; father, Mark Lanier, Sr.; brother, Thomas Finch; sister, Rachel Raulerson; grandmother, Lonia Vicars Bradshaw; uncle, Bob Vicars, Jr.; aunt, Sharon Madden and uncle, Michael Lanier.

Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N, Jacksonville, Fl. 32225, (904) 641-9755. Family will receive friends Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Chapel Hills. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Donna Homan will take place on Friday at 1:00 pm at Chapel Hills.
