Michael Allen Jones

On April 12, 2025, Michael Allen Jones, age 67, reached his journey's end in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Millington, TN, the son of the late Clifford Lee Jones and Margaret Idella Wait Jones. He enjoyed growing up in Jacksonville, where he graduated from Ed White High School.

Mike is survived by his mother, Margaret, his brother Clifford Lee Jones, Jr. (Catha); niece Courtney Gilmore, nephews Clifford Lee Jones, IV and Carter Jones; grand-nephews Skyler and Shade and grand-niece Samantha. Also, missing Mike are his aunt Patti Patterson of Keller, TX and Cousins Kelly Wyatt and John Patterson of Keller, TX. In addition are cousins Linda Murphy and son Lloyd Murphy of Anderson, SC.

Mike was able to work for several years following a serious auto accident when he was only 24. He worked with electrical contractors for several years, then building incubators for chicks/birds, balancing HVAC, until his health began to interfere. Mike had always been sharp about the models and years of cars and loved certain ones, of course. He rode the tires bare on his bikes as a youngster. Mike was the happiest when he was working or helping someone. He had a ready smile, a quick sense of humor, and an empathy in helping the other soul in need. He was tender-hearted, generous, and thoughtful. He had special relationships he had to let go when illness or accident took them. But over time when Mike was lonely or not always well, he had this faithful friend of many years who he looked forward to seeing every evening whose name was also Mike.... Mike loved his family dearly and was always close to them, as he has always been so precious to them. He leaves such an empty place in their hearts and those of his many friends who were always looking for Mike and wanting to be with him as we were and still are.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 12:00PM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32205. Officiating will be Rev. Samuel Bennett and Rev. Jesse Bozeman.
