Mildred Faircloth Rogers, 84, of Jacksonville, Florida, went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 3, 2010. A long time resident of Jacksonville, she worked for several years for Winn Dixie in their corporate office, then retired to Palatka, where she and her husband ran a small nursery until 1999. Surviving family members are son, Richard P. Rogers, and daughter, Patricia Rogers; daughter-in-law Carol and Donnie Rogers; her 6 grandchildren: Karen Starling, David N. Rogers Jr., Kimberly Rogers, Lee F. Rogers, Ellen Rogers, and Perry Rogers; 3 great-grandchildren; and several much-loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Nace F. Rogers, who passed away 10 years ago, and her son, David N. Rogers, who passed away in October of 2009. The family is very grateful for the support and prayers of our churches, family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Funeral Service will be in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010. Entombment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
