Mildred (Millie) Eleanor Fitzgerald Frank passed away suddenly the morning of Saturday November 14th 2015. Millie was born on a Tuesday December 1st 1925 in Ridgway Pa. to Carl Fitzgerald and Alice Belle Smith Fitzgerald. She had one sister Margaret Beale who preceded her in death. Millie graduated from Ridgway High School and soon after went to work for Home Telephone Company in Ridgway Pa. Millie married Paul Frank of Johnsonburg Pa. in 1946. They moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1955 and were one of the first families to call Arlington their home after the Mathews Bridge was constructed. They were married for 52 years until Paul’s death in 1998. Millie worked for Prudential Insurance Co. for 26 years as a medical underwriter and retired in 1989. She was so well thought of that her retirement party took hours for her to open all of her gifts. Millie was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother and she gave unselfishly of herself. In addition to her family she had a great love for her cats. She is survived by her sons Bill (Chin), Dennis (Teggy), granddaughters, Heather Brannon (Buzz), Tara Parsons (Michael), greatgrandchildren, Blaze Brannon, Joshua Nichols, Coleman, Mikayla and Caleb Parsons. We are forever grateful for all the love and companionship Raymond Clemmons has given to her over the past 17 years. Ray was truly the sparkle in her eyes and the wind beneath her wings. Funeral services and burial are scheduled for Friday November 20 at Chapel Hills Funeral Home 850 St John’s Bluff Rd Jacksonville Fl. 32225. The family will begin receiving friends at 12 PM and service and burial beginning at 1PM. Reverend James Jennings from St. Paul United Methodist Church where Millie was a member since December 1980 will officiate the services. Please consider donations to the Humane Society in her honor as an alternative to flowers .
