

Muriel Kayter, passed away October 13, 2010 at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she lived in Jacksonville, Florida the past 38 years. As a Dance Teacher, Performer, Choreographer and Costumer, Muriel loved The Performing Arts and Dancing. When she retired from teaching, she joined The St. Joe Company for 15 years.
Her love for Dance continued as a devoted member of Jazzercise for the past 22 years.
Muriel was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Martin Kayter. She is survived by her son Frank Kayter (Loretta) of Bebee, AR; daughter Jennifer Kayter (Pam) of Jacksonville and daughter Elizabeth Goode (John). She was a grandmother of five and a great-grandmother of one.
The family wishes to thank the Medical Staff of Baptist Hospital and The Northeast Florida Community Hospice. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday October 15, 2010 at Chapel Hills Funeral Home. The funeral services begin 11:00am, Saturday October 16, 2010 at the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Ruth Jensen-Forbell.
In lieu of flowers, Those wishing may make donations in Muriel’s memory to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, The Jacksonville Humane Society or The ASPCA.
