Nancy Pickett Payton

Nancy was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Henry Edward Pickett and Pearl Emily Armstrong on September 14, 1941. She married the love of her life Charles LaDon Payton in 1981. Nancy attended Paxon High School. She worked for Cecil Power Insurance where she started as a legal secretary in the late 1970's and worked her way up through the years until 2009 then she received her letter from the bar registering her as a paralegal in which she retired in 2013.

Nancy was an active member of the Paralegal Association, The Oakleaf, Golden Girls, Dorcas Sunday School, Tuesday night bible study and she liked to watch the Jacksonville Jaguars play football.

She is survived by her daughters Sydette Thomas and Stephanie Maldonado,son Jake Fulmer and his wife Wendy Fulmer, son in law Don Thomas, fiancè Aracelis Miller, grand daughter Nicole Clark and her husband Gary Clark, grandsons Logan Savage and his wife Savannah Savage, Noah Fulmer, Nicholas Thomas, grand dog Nay Nay Savage and great grandson Kayden Bell. Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles LaDon Payton, father Henry Pickett, mother Pearl Pickett, sister Peggy McCourt and brother in law Ken McCourt.

A memorial service will be held on March 21, 2025 at The Church at Argyle located at 6823 Argyle Forest Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32244 at 6PM.
