It is with great sadness that the Nguyen family announces the death of Nichole Andrea Josette Nguyen. She passed on November 16th, 2023, and is survived by her husband, Luke, and her daughter, Reina. Born to humble roots on October 13th, 1979, in Fredericksburg, Texas, she would enter the workforce at an early age to support her brother, Darien. Her first big break would be as an independent marketing consultant who worked with clients such as Pepsi Co. in 1999. This would continue until 2006 when Nichole worked for her future lifelong mentor, Manish Shah, as a manager of a business analysis publication until 2010. With his insistence and support, Nichole would complete her GED and associate degree in psychology from Miami Dade Community College in 2010.
She would meet Luke in late October 2010 via online dating while she attended New College in Sarasota, Florida. She would attend the same educational institution as him the following year at the University of South Florida. The two would wed on December 13th, 2013, at the Columbia Restaurant in Tampa, FL. Nichole Nguyen would later graduate with a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of South Florida in 2016.
Following her graduation, she started as an investment specialist in Merrill Edge in 2016 and climbed through the ranks across several departments throughout her seven-year tenure to Team Manager. During this time, she would continue her education and complete a master’s degree in finance from Harvard Business School in 2023.
She was always an unshakeable fighter with a love for learning. Coming from object poverty, she dreamed of giving other women the chance to ascend the socioeconomic ladder as she did through education and grit. This tenacity extended to overcoming her natural challenges to child rearing with IVF to give birth to Reina on March 8th, 2021. At the time of her passing, she was a proud career woman, mother, spouse, and scholar. Her hobbies included being a voracious reader and gardening.
The Nguyen family will be holding a memorial service at the Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home on December 13th, 2023, at 6:00 PM. The event will be live streamed at www.twitch.tv/lerandia for those unable to attend in-person. The family requests donations to the funeral costs/family garden fund at https://gofund.me/cdc4098d in lieu of flowers. The family highly encourages visitors to their home in Jacksonville to commemorate her life and oversee progress of the garden renovation in her memory.
