Norma Jean Stewart, 84, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Lawtey, FL. She was born January 27, 1933 to William and Viola Griffin Sr. in Jacksonville, FL. Norma Jean was quick witted and always made people laugh. She loved to go shopping and enjoyed buying things for others. She had a big heart and loved to take care of her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Edward Stewart, one sister Lois Hodges and one brother William Griffin Jr. Norma is survived by her children Karen (Robert) Huff, Shelly (Bill) Thomas, Robbin (Tim) Tungett, grandchildren Jenny Richardson, Melinda Ringer, Allison McKelvey, Vance Hill, Edward B. Hill, and Julian Tungett, great-grandchildren Oliver and Wyatt, brothers Clifton Griffin, Lloyd Griffin Sr., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home is serving the family. A visitation for friends and family will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5-7pm. Funeral services to be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Mandarin United Methodist Church, 11270 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223 beginning at 11am with reception following. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park at 2pm for anyone wishing to join.
