Johnnie (Oda) King died peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnie and Nina DeLoach. Her husband, Paul King; sister, Pat Luckie; daughter, Donna and son-in-law, Hershel Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Alapa (Clifton); bonus children, Keani Alapa (Milia), Samata Juan (Noah) and Tuleinatia Alapa; grandchildren, Brian Baker (Tina), Wayne Mann, Zahria Bell, Emmric Alapa, Jonesy Juan, Mackson Alapa, Olivia Alapa; great-grandchildren, Tyler Mann, Breanna Sanders (Austin), Abagail Baker, Caleb Gordon and Kylie Gordon; great-great-grandchildren, Leighton and Easton Sanders; nieces, Linda Kraus (Donald), Denise MichelBrink (Mark); bonus son-in-law, Donald Jones (Hazel) and an extended network of additional family and friends.
Because Johnnie loved bright colors, the family has requested everyone who attends the Memorial, Please Wear Bright Colors.

A funeral service for Oda will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
