Pauline D. Brewer, age 91, died March 19, 2018 after a long battle with a number of health issues. She hailed from a wonderful Mississippi family with deep roots. She was a southern lady, who was raised from birth to be a homemaker. She ran the Brewer household with efficiency. Pauline was a fabulous cook; her coconut layer cakes would make you cry! She loved to entertain, and would always "overcook" and give the excess to neighbors. Pauline was married to her husband, William L. Brewer, for almost 72 years and always encouraged and supported him in his career. Pauline loved to shop, especially for antiques and home furnishings. She was "hands on" and had a knack for making her home inviting and cozy. Pauline's greatest passion was travel, and if her husband Bill could not go with her, she would find a relative or friend to go. She traveled frequently to Europe, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Her favorite place was Hawaii, where she visited five times.
Pauline is survived by her husband, William L. Brewer; her daughter Paula Emery (Richard); her son Forrest Brewer; her grandson Christopher Brewer Emery (her one and only); and many nieces and nephews, especially her niece Ramona Jackson and her son Josh Jackson, who Pauline was very close to.
