Peggy J. McCourt

Peggy J. McCourt, age 80 passed away on March 15, 2017. Peggy was born in Jacksonville Florida on June 19, 1936. After finishing high school, Peggy began working at Prudential Insurance in 1954, where she worked as an office manager for the next 45 years. In 1967 she began dating the love of her life, Ken, whom she married in October of 1970. Peggy was a state officer of Business Professional Woman and a member of the Red Hat Society. She volunteered to help the Pulpit and building committee of Dunneden Baptist Church until 2009. Peggy was a member of The Church at Argyle in the Dorcus class at the time of her passing.

Peggy is survived by her sister; Nancy (Don) Payton, brother in law; Jake Fulmer Sr. “Big Daddy”, niece; Sydette Thomas, nephew; Jake Fulmer Jr. (Wendy), niece; Stephanie Muldonado, great nephews; Nick Thomas, Noah Fulmer and Logan Savage, great niece; Nicole Maldonado, great-great nephew; Kayden Bell, step-grandchildren; Kenny McCourt, Brook Breedlove and Katie Lappin.

Family will receive friends at The Church at Argyle on Monday, March 27 at 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with internment at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make donations to either The Alzheimer’s Association under “Peggy’s Peeps” or Community Hospice in her name. HARDAGE-GIDDENS TOWN & COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
