Phillip Drew Shelfer, Jr. was born July 30, 1933 in Atlanta, GA. Drew passed away on December 17, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Connie, and son, Phillip D. Shelfer, III, his wife, Robin and grandchildren, Hailey Shelfer, Adrienne Haynes, her husband Robert Hayes and Michael Topp.
Drew graduated from Ramsey High School, Birmingham, AL., where he was a member of the baseball team. He attended Auburn University, served in the United States Army and was member of the Schriner’s Morocco Temple, Riverside Masonic Lodge and the Scott Rite.
Drew worked for Dunkin-Lewis, Manufacturer’s Representative, for 35 years selling sporting goods. He enjoyed using all his products.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 22, at 11:00 AM at the Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road, Jacksonville,Florida Rev. Manny Kaiser will be officiating
A reception will follow the service at Hidden Hills Country Club.
Drew was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. Anyone wishing to make a memorial gifts, family would suggest Parkwood Baptist Church or Shriners Children Hospital.
