Pilar Gutierrez was born in January 12, 1928 in Dagupan City, Philippines to Vicente Macaraeg and Felisa (nee) Rosario, along with eight siblings. She was a dedicated teacher and mentor for her students at Luzon Colleges and the Dominican School, where she taught English, literature, and Spanish. Pilar loved to play piano, read religious texts, do coloring books, write letters, and devote herself to attending mass and making countless prayers. Pilar is remembered as a loving, caring, and generous woman who strived to make those around her happy. She is survived by her daughters Lourdes, Lanibelle, and Vivien, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
