

Priscilla Josephine Duran, affectionately known as Percy, passed away at the age of 93 on February 9, 2025. Born on October 1, 1931, in Rociada, New Mexico, Percy was the daughter of the late Antonio and Celia Gallegos.
Percy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bernave Duran, and her siblings Higinio Gallegos, Santos Baca, Tillie Martinez, Frank Gallegos, and Joe Gallegos. She is survived by her son, Bernave, daughter-in-law, Heather, grandchildren Natalia, Gabriel, and Lilliana, and great-grandson, Liam. Her memory will be cherished by countless nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many other family members and friends who she loved dearly.
As a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, neighbor, and friend, Percy dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for everyone who entered her doors. Percy spent much of her life working as a full-time babysitter and house cleaner, providing exceptional care and support to the families she served. Her dedication to her work was evident in the way she nurtured children, ensuring they felt loved and cherished, and maintained immaculate homes with a loving touch.
Percy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed praying the rosary, tending to her beautiful flower garden, cooking delicious meals, taking tranquil walks, and caring for her loyal pets as well as the stray cats in her neighborhood. She had a passion for coloring and always prayed for her loved ones. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Percy's gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind.
The rosary service will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on March 17, 2025 at Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd., Albuquerque, New Mexico 87112. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102.
Following the burial there will be a reception at Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
