

Priscilla Anne Smith, 73, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was welcomed home into Heaven by her husband of fifty years, Jack Smith, and their two daughters, Carol and Lynn Smith. Priscilla was born on March 4, 1939 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a toddler when Pearl Harbor was attacked. She and her mother were evacuated by ship to the US while her father stayed behind to fight. She then lived on the Macon, Georgia Air Force Base for 3 years. Then Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. There she graduated from High School, and met the love of her life, Jack Smith, who swooped her off to Jacksonville, Florida. They began their 50 year love affair. Priscilla enjoyed raising and racing greyhounds, playing slot machines, watching football (big Tebow fan), and most of all enjoying her grandchildren, and family. She will be mostly remembered for her beautiful smile. Priscilla is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Darrell), and Aaron; grandchildren, Danielle (Aaron), Allen, Ray Ray (Ashley), and Lil’Jack; great-grandchildren, AJ, Gabriella, Aubrey Carolyn, and Jackson Monroe; her sisters, Paula Wirth, and Mildred Adams. The family visitation to greet friends will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm, Sunday, December 30, 2012 at The Smith Family Cemetery of Jacksonville, FL (103rd and Cemetery Rd.), followed by her Graveside Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Burial will be held at Smith Family Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL., 32205.
