Raymond L Greene

Mr. Raymond L. Greene of Jacksonville went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ March 17, 2011. Raymond was born in Cairo, Georgia to the late Lannis L. Greene and Maidee McKown Greene. Raymond was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War as a Paratrooper. Raymond drove a Car Hauler for 36 years and was a member of Teamsters Local 512.

Raymond leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Verree Greene of Jacksonville, Son Ronnie( Dolly) of Jacksonville, 5 step-daughters, three brothers, Bo Greene of Melbourne Fl, Buzz (Jackie) Greene of Cairo Ga., Bobby (Cindy) Greene of Cairo, Ga., two sisters Annie Lee Singletary of Cairo Ga., Faye (Kermit)Harrison of Wigham, Ga. Three Grandchildren, 9 step Grandchildren and 4 Step Great Grandchildren, his daughter in law Brenda Greene of Camilla, Ga. Raymond was preceded in death by his Son David Greene of Camilla, Ga, brother Ronald Greene of Cairo, Ga. and sister Jean Wilson of Vidalia, Ga.

Visitation will be Monday March 21, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Town and Country Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl 32205, with Funeral Services to follow at 2:00 P.M and burial with military honors in Riverside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made in Raymond’s memory to the Community Hospice Acosta- Rua Center For Caring 5450 Ramona Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl 32205.
