Richard "Logan" Griffis

Richard “Logan” Griffis, 35, of Orange Park, FL, passed away on May 30th, 2022. He was born in Jacksonville on December 29th, 1986 to Rick Griffis and Jan Turner. He was engaged to Lauren Campbell since December 25th, 2019.

Logan graduated from Nathan B. Forrest High School in the class of 2005 where he was a member of the baseball team. He then went on to study business and achieved his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management from the University of North Florida in 2013. He began his career in the healthcare industry in 2009 at Parallon, where he was promoted into various roles, most recently being a financial analyst.

Logan had a lifelong love of sports, particularly baseball, football and golf and was an avid fan of the Florida Gators, Atlanta Braves and the Jacksonville Jaguars. His favorite hobbies were fishing, golfing and playing with his puppies. He enjoyed traveling and attending concerts with his fiancée as well as their many adventures, which included skydiving, zip-lining and recently exploring New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.

His close friends and family described him as genuine, funny, caring, honest, loyal, dependable, easy-going, enthusiastic, respectful, resilient, adventurous and “a character.”

Logan is survived by his father Rick Griffis (Renee); mother Jan Turner; fiancée Lauren Campbell; brother Brandon Griffis; niece Kamryn Griffis; fur babies Triton and Henry and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marlie and Audrey Griffis and his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Shirley Turner.

A visitation for Logan will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 7673 Collins Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32244, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
