

“Bob” was born May 18,1933 in Jacksonville, to Robert Moses Foy and Catherine Adel Oldham Foy. He married his high school sweetheart, devoted wife of 72 years, Katherine Emma (Halladay) Foy. The couple had three children, His son, Robert Lee Foy preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Katherine, his daughter Annette Kay Foy (Berrey) and youngest son Allen Norman Foy.
He had three sisters and four brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Alma Rosalie Andrews, Marie Yvonne Foy and brothers Lawrence William Foy, Charles Leslie Foy and Joseph Thomas Foy. Surviving siblings include sister Catherine Adele Krause (Lynn) and Richard Cecil Foy.
After serving his country for over 20 years in the United States Army, he retired back to Jacksonville Beach. Bob served during both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He and his wife were avid travelers – having visited all 50 states and several countries.
A handyman, Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing, woodworking and watching birds and squirrels in his backyard. His quiet demeanor was cherished by family and friends. He was affectionately called ‘Grampie’ by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Multiple nephews and nieces also called him Grampie or ‘Uncle Bob’
A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225 followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00. A committal service with military honors will follow in the cemetery.
