

Rose Lerum, also known as Rosario Fermo Lerum, passed away on November 4, 2023, at the age of 74 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on April 19, 1949, in Capalonga, Philippines. Rose was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rose had a vibrant and joyful personality. She was a loving wife and caregiver to her husband of 54 years, Fernando Lerum. Rose had a passion for travel and exploring new places, which brought her great joy. She was also an avid ballroom dancer and enjoyed competing in dance competitions. Her laughter was infectious and instantly recognizable, bringing happiness to everyone around her. Rose's generous heart and loving kindness created lifelong friendships, leaving a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rose is survived by her devoted husband, Fernando Lerum, and their loving children:
Rosanna Smith, Rosabel Hill, and their respective spouses, Samuel Smith and Quentin Hill. Rose leaves behind cherished memories with her grandchildren: Jullian Abinsay, Nathan Smith, Matthew Hill, Eraina Lertphanich and her husband Bank Lertphanich, Kayla Palmer and her husband Luke Palmer, and Charisten Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Emily Juego, and brother-in-law, Efrin Juego and their children Ezekiel Juego and Ann Juego. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatriz and Justo Fermo.
Rose was a faithful member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, where she found solace and strength in her religious beliefs. A funeral service will be held in her honor at St. Paul Catholic Church, located at 523 Pablo Ave, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, on November 14, 2023, at 11 am EST. Following the service, a burial procession will take place at Hardage Giddens Chapel Hills, located at 850 St. John's Bluff Rd N, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
