Sanford worked many years as a plumber with Eagerton Plumbing and ultimately retired as a Master Plumber with W. W. Gay.
He was a Korean Conflict Veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55 and was proud of that service. He was affectionately known by Family as “Pa” and enjoyed traveling by RV to camp sights and Blue Grass Festivals with his Wife, Jodie, by his side.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth and son Curtis. Sanford is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jodie, sons, Harry, Jimmy, David Manucy, Butch and Sidney Buchanan, Daughters, Rhonda Horler, Kathy Tolleson (Chris), and numerous Grand Children, Great Grand Children, Nieces and Nephews.
He will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever missed!
Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Thursday July 30th from 10-11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am officiated by Pastor Matt Rouse. Final committal at graveside will take place this same day at 12:30pm in St. George at the Canaday Cemetery next to Moniac Baptist Church located 10594 Highway 185, St. George, Georgia 31562.
Reception immediately following at the Manucy Residence.
